I thought it might be fun to see who has the most unusual name for a cat. If someone posts a name that you have or have had, just say so. I'll start off with some of my unusual names:

-Merla
-Gary
-Moo
-Shaba

When a blue eyed white cat showed up and moved in, I asked my best friend what pretty girl was in Yiddish. So, we named her Shana Madel. We soon realized she was pregnant, so in keeping with the theme, we have Shmuel, Shlomo and Shlamey, collectivly known as The Kinde, which means children.

I have three cats, the first a kitten after my cat Sheba (19 years old) passed away. I tried to go without a cat, my heart was broken, but you just can't do that, at least I cant. Anyway, I found this precious little tortoiseshell and named her Kameko which is Japanese for "tortoise child" and a "wish for long life". We love her name!

I currently have three cats,

Pedro - (my mother named him and she loved the name Peter but every cat she named Peter died young. To break the curse she tried the spanish equivilant, and hes going on 15 now),

Hershey - my chocolate point burmilla,

Jagr - pronounced 'ya-gar' but his vets call him 'jag-ah'. (Maybe I should have spelled it Yagr).

I also have had:

The Grey Mouser (aka Mouser, or Mouse) an amazing people-loving cat.

an lots of unorriginally named cats who were natuarally cool cats for their own reasons eg:
Timmy, Jimmy, Goldie, Sam, Rex, Kelly, Boomer

Our cats name is Kita. We adopted her from a shelter and they called her Lulu there, but it just wasn't fitting. My husband wanted to call her NaKita, but we agreed on Kita.
We are currently looking for a name for our 2nd kitten... and I can't think of anything that is as clever and cool as Kita.

One of my cats is named Wrigley. She received this re-name after my roomate moved in and whenever he tried to hold her she would "Wrigle" out of his grip.

She continued to live up to her name whenever vet visits would come and I would have to put her in the carry-all. And trimming her nails!! Forget it! I gave up trying to do that years ago.....

I always liked the idea of cats named after Sci Fi Characters. My friend has two cats, both named after Characters in the movie "Aliens"

-Ripley
-Bishop

My poor elderly kitty who died last year was affectionally known as:

"Chaucer Auldbald Fezziwig".

Our new little one who has done a remarkable job at filling the hole in our hearts was officially named:

"Jeannot Hepsibeth Na'ahi Popoki",

but she is half oriental and when we got her she looked more like a scrawny bat than a cat, so now she is only known as

"The Fruitbat"

And my other cat is

"Aradia Bergamot Vanderlleef"

We have:

Chloe
Zoe
Boris
Tash (Tash was supposed to be Natasha when my husband got him. My hubby thought he was a girl and that it would be cute to do the Bullwinkle theme: Boris and Natasha. Well, Tash ended up being a boy so we modified his name. Poor guy is still mistaken for a girl by everyone!)

My sister had:
Tungsten
Berillium (I thought up that one after she had Tungsten - I probably spelled them wrong, though).

Let see, I've had
Mr. Jones
Mr. Smith

Then family pets
Ms. Kitty (original huh?)
Poo Poo (don't ask)
Louie
Gilbert
Cappuchino (aka beanie aka string kitty)

My baby boy's name is Henry. He got a dozen pet names I actually name him after a very old campbells commercial. There was a young couple that spoke with old folks voices and the women said Oh henry it was really cute. So that was stuck in my head

Hugs,
Suz

I named my kitten Mariel. She is a polytactyl cat, which means she has an extra toe on each foot. Ernest Hemingway used to collect these cats and they're sometimes known as "Hemingway cats." If my kitten was a boy, I would have named him Ernest. Since she's a beautiful little girl, I named her after his granddaughter, Mariel!

I got a cat and we named him

"Vaughn"

His full name is Michael "B" Vaughn...
The "B" (which includes the "") stands for Butch, because I have two other roommates, and two of us are Alias [Sunday nights at 9 on ABC] fans, and one is not. The one who is not wanted to call the cat Butch, and we didn't like that... he's a grey tabby kitten who does not look like a Butch, so we gave her the letter... I also call him Buttface... he's still in the kitten phase.

Kind of a late reply, but my brother and sister kitties names are Arnie Jr. and Abby. (My 1st Arnie died when he was 11 weeks old, and I loved the name so much I couldnt give it up)

Arnie is named after the NHL hockey player Jason Arnott, who plays for the Dallas Stars. (I love hockey) And Abby I just named, because I like the name
