LOL My first two cats were already named Hank and Harry (got them from the SPCA and didn't have the heart to seperate the two litter mates) by the volunteer who had them for a time. After I married and Harry ran away *sniff*, we got my husband a black kitty from the SPCA and named him Orko. For those of you who might wonder why the name sounds familiar, there was an old He-Man cartoon with one of the characters who was small and flew around like a ghost. This character, Orko, was a clutz and always wreaking havok. When we came home with our little loud bundle of joy (read my first thread lol), that night, we heard a crash and our little buddy came to our room crying his head off and limping. The poor little guy jumped ontop a tv tray and it collapsed on his leg. After a careful probing, I found his leg wasn't broken (much to our relief), and he was soon back to normal. After that first incident, there came many more clumsy attempts, and the name just seemed perfect for the little guy. IP: Logged |

There is an entire thread on unusual cat names that can be found here: http://www.auspet.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/000759.html You might be interested in checking it out...I think you will find lots of ideas there. IP: Logged |

The is an old post about unusual names, it had more than 50 replies on it! I'll try to find it and bump it up. I think you need to get your kitten before deciding on the name. Sometimes they seem to name themselves with their personality, like Aris described her Orko. I had picked out the name Buzz for my kitty, but once I got him it just didn't fit. I choose Footsie becuase he is constantly underfoot, and when he was very young he would seek out shoes to play with/in and he would always attack my feet. We joked that he was playing footsie and it stuck. That said, based on just color, I like the names Ecru and Casey (short for cream soda). IP: Logged |

My six month old kitten is cream coloured and I called him Fudgie. He was all cream to start with but now he's beginning to get little darker toffee coloured stripes up his legs and chest, looks like vanilla ice-cream with toffee swirls Have fun thinking up a name - and do let us know what you decide.
