I have to large snails in my aquarium. I just looked in and they were locked together, I tried gently seperating them but htey wouldn't let go and I didn't want ot hurt them Are they fighting or mating. If they are mating how to I avoid having many little sanils in my aquarium. IP: Logged |

Okay they have seperated and I believe that they were mating. Does anyone know how to prevent the eggs from laying/hatching and having my aquarium filled with baby snails. Any help would be appreciated. IP: Logged |

Hi Katerina, About all you can do is remove the eggs once they have been laid. IP: Logged |

So can you see the eggs? What do they look like? Do they float or sit on the bottom? IP: Logged |

Were you able to see the eggs before they hatched? What can you do with baby snails, will pet stores take them in? IP: Logged |

Hi Katerina, It really doesn't sound like they were fighting or mateing. Any eggs will look like small opaque white balls. You will see them on the glass or on plants in the tank. IP: Logged |

Thanks for all of your help. They were clinging to each other again last night. But maybe they are just cleaning each other. Well I'll wait and see if any egs appear. IP: Logged |
