pirahnas are freshwater, and if you dont know much about them (especially their water type) then you should study more on pirahnas before you go out and buy any of them. IP: Logged |

i had 2 of the in with my oscars and that was the bigest mistake i ever made they beat the crap out ofthem even thought the oscars were twice there size..they are freshwater fish...in facet now they are in a seperate tank and the one ate the others eye out..they like eyeballs for some reason...but they are brutal...i have brazilian pirahnas [This message has been edited by sinciputal8 (edited 12-28-2003).] IP: Logged |

sorry if i sounded offensive, i misttok ur post as that u jsut bought them n now were settin up a tank....sorry....red belley's are not the mean killing fish everyone makes them seem. they can actually be quite shy at time so they would prob like some places 2 hide in. some precautions would be 2 make sure that if u are gettin a group that they are same size and put in around the same time 2 prevent territorial disputes. also, if u are to feed them feeder fish, dont use that as only food and watch out for the diseases that the goldfish can carry.
