they are aggresive and they like meaty foods I think they will grow out of your tank in a year. in IP: Logged |

PACUS ARE NOT AGGRESIVE!!!!!! the two i had were big pussy cats.(lost them to a power outage) They are Vegetarian they love peas, lettuce mine loved cichlid sticks. Feed them flakes and small floating pellets untill they are bigger, get them eating a variety of different foods. Like other fish they get spoiled easy. Pacus are as wide as they are tall. In fact they will out grow your tank in about a year, you will need a 300 gal for them to be happy when full grown. IP: Logged |

i currently have a red pacu in a 29 gallon tank with 7 oscars 5 are babies and 2 are 4 to 5 inches and the pacu IS NOT AGGRESIVE and eats tons of flake food and beefheart they like to hide so put something in there for them to hide behind and they get really big so you will need a big tank like 300 gallon.
