this one is for the parents out there.
I am not having any problems with Zeus and his training, BUT my kids are driving me nuts. I have more control over the dog!!! Any one know of anything fun to do in the house with the kids? My mom never did anything with me so I can't just play games I did when I was a kid. My kids are 4 and 2. Maybe a forum site for parents?? I am losing my mind today... I just sent my mom an e-mail that looked like a free to good home ad in the newspaper describing my kids. Maybe she'll decide to take them for a couple hours so I can have some ME TIME.

Poor Rottie,
I wish I could help you. I was an only child and my mom never really entertained me either. Although when my father remarried her son was 4 years younger than me and I used to play "who can be quiet the longest" hehe he always won.
Good Luck

Duct Tape! No just kidding..lol. I used to let my kids play in the bathtub when they were little. They would use shampoo to lather up each others backs and then draw pictures in it. Or we would dump the toy box of toys in the tub..kept them busy and in the end the toys got clean. It's a good time to sit on the bathroom floor with a cup of tea and relax. Play pretend "restaurant" this is good when you just want to sit for a bit. 2 may be a bit young, the four year old will love this... they get to be waiter and waitress and you get to be customer. Give them a pad of paper and a pencil, be very polite and business like. They ask you "what can we get for you today ma'am?" and then you order the craziest thing you can think of... Baked ants...purple peas and a tall glass of Orangeade. They pretend to go get it for you and serve you...you pretend to love it..or better yet my girls got a kick out of me acting like a horribly picky grouchy customer. I always ended up tipping them with hugs and kisses. When they got a little older we played this and I let them actually make stuff...like iceed tea or Kool-Aid.
Make a blanket tent..that will keep them busy for a long while! Blankets...chairs and fun. It leaves your room a mess but they will have a blast and you will get a break. Kids like to have a Hideout.

Let them play dress up...give them a hole stack of clothes, shoes etc...and just let them dress each other.

Kids love to play in water...it may mean mopping up a little after, but I used to pull all the plastic bowls and cups etc from the cabinets and fill the sink with sudsy water and let the kids "wash the dishes" stick a couple chairs in front of the sink and let them "help".

Let them sit at the kitchen table and make their own PB&J sandwiches...

remember PEACE IS COSTLY..so a little mess to clean up may be worth it. Better yet..let them make the sandwiches, then take a bath, then wash the dishes, then make the blanket tent..by then they will be so tired they will fall asleep in the tent!

Books. We read lots and lots of books. And did all the things Maisey suggested. Barney video tapes were good when I needed some down time - I videotaped 6 hours worth off the TV so I could play it whenever I needed it.

I joined every play group and mom's group I could find. If it is warm out, a little plastic wading pool is great. Give them cups or Tupperware or whatever you can find to play with in it. And we had one of those Little Tikes slides - the smallest one - and it fit with the slide end in the pool so they could slide into the water.

Tricycles.

Hmmm, but you were looking for indoor things. Art projects - crayons, markers, colored pencils are harmless. Paint is less harmless. Glitter is evil. Play dough is good. I bought children's craft books so we could make stuff - I do better with structure.

Pretty much, I just went insane. Hang in there!
