I have 2 males in the backyard, a lab & aussie sheepdog,10 & 8, both unaltered. When i walk them, the lab "claims" every tree/post he can, and the younger sheepdog always copies him. However they never used to pee in the back yard. Now my girlfriend lives with me and when she goes out to the yard the lab pees everywhere. they must feel their territory is threatened by the new resident at my house. Now my backyard reeks like urine by the steps, hose reel, everywhere. They dont do it when im watching or i would reprimand. How can i stop them? Is there a repellant? does neutering stop a male from claiming territory?
