I have two cats, both female. Marley is 6 years old, and Jules is 2 years old, and she is declawed. They were introduced a year and a half ago, and they got along ok, no fighting but no real mutal grooming either. About 2 months ago, Marley just snapped one night and viciously attacked Jules, and now she won't stop. She's on a mission to kill her. As soon as she sees her she hunts her down, and since Jules is declawed, she cannot defend herself. WE have been keeping them separated in different rooms, but it's so hard, and they occasionally get out of the rooms and a fight ensues. Plus, it's hard to divide our time with the kitties.
HELP! please, I can't live like this. Is there any way to get them to live together again?

Did anything happen to set the cat off? I'm no expert but I've been reading up on this and cats can redirect their aggression on other cats or people. Have you ruled out illness or fear? If you can't see a reason why they're fighting, I would try re-introducing them very slowly and reward Marley only when she reacts positively to Jules. As for the fighting--make sure you check very carefully for bite marks as I discovered one on my cat a few days after it happened and it had become infected as most cat bites do. She was on antibiotics for 2 weeks after that.
