AUG 18 2003 WILL BE MY FIRST YEAR WITH A FISH TANK I HAVE ALL TOGETHER 5 GOLD FISH AND ONE IVE HAD FOR A WHOLE YEAR AND ITS LIVED WITH OUT A FILTER FOR HALF OF THE YEAR I JUST GOT TWO MORE FISH TODAY AND IM WONDERING DO I HAVE TO HAVE A FILTER I HAVE LOTSSSSS AND LOTS OF LITTLE SNAILS FOR CLEANING BUT SOMETIME MY FISH TANK CAN GET REALY DIRTY BUT...SO PLZZ HELP DONT LAUGH AT ME BECUZ IM REAL NEW WITH THE WHOLE FISH THING IP: Logged |

you don't have to have a filter for goldfish.but if you don't want to change the water so often you could get one.the new fish you got are goldfish right? if so i wouldn't worry about it IP: Logged |

just make sure the water stays clean and youll be fine. it is easier to have a filter and they arnt to expensive but they are not nessisay. goldfish are harty they can live in pretty dirty water so dont sweat it. -m_ikel34 IP: Logged |
