Ok I posted on the message about the lady who wanted a chow...

Well Someone dumped 3 adorable little chow/shephard/lab?? mix puppies off at our place. They were full of fleas, hungry, matted, and of course no wormings vacs..vet checks, nothing. Soooo as usual I took them to the vet,had them checked out, and the vet said other than them being hungry and malnourished, they were fine. I asked about the lathargy and he said its probably because their hungry and weak.
Never crossed either minds that it could be parvo. SO I had them vaccinated, wormed and fed up fat and healthy.

So yesterday I got home from my night class and looked in the little incubator house to check on them, and the smallest one was dead. Never showed one sign of Parvo. But today, they said thats what it was, and he must have had it for a while. At least he died happy and with a full belly. I had the other two checked and one has it, the other doesnt so he's being treated for it.

It really ticks me off.... if you don't want puppies, get rid of them in a humane way, ask around and put an ad in the paper. Don't just dump them starving and hungry! and most of all, get your dogs fixed!!!!!
I wish I knew who did this. All of my dogs and cat have gone to the vet to make sure they are ok...luckily everyone is away fromthe quarentine pen. I need to own stock in bleach....

At least they knew to leave them with me, and not on some lonely back road where they were sure to die. But still....

That's awful, I feel so upset when I hear of things like that. I don't know how people live with themselves. At least as you said, the little one died happy, and with a full belly. Thank goodness for people like you. All the best with the remaining pups.

You have a good heart and did the best you could for the little guy. I know that it is still sad.

Sometimes it makes me mad that the responsible people like us have to go through all the work and heartbreak of trying to care for animals b/c of the irresponsible people in the world. It's not fair to us, but especially not to the little animals who suffer.

WEll, we bleached and cleaned everything. Thelittle yellow one passed on in his sleep Saturday afternoon. Something do do with his little heart....just gave out or something, I don't know. I'm getting so frustrated! The other dogs aren't allowed anywhere near them, especially Smokey and Charllotte, and they just whine when they see them. Its heartbreaking, like Charllotte knows there's something wrong.

The last little puppy is sooo mean and aggressive! I have to wear gloves to handle him, and even then its hard! He just flat out won't tame down. We're weighing our options at the moment, and it looks like we're going to have to put the little guy down. We all think that there's some mental problem going on. He'll just snap at himself, absolutely nothing, and will jsut take off in a dead run screaming and yelping. I don't know whats wrong with him. Oh and he's EXTREMELY food agressive. He will run at you and try to bite! HE was attacking the ball that was next to the food bowl last night.

I'm posting a new message here soon about this problem. People need to realize, you can't just have a dog, let it have puppies and not handle the consequenses. I know where the puppies came from now, and it disgusts me. The people have plenty of money and could have fed them.

I'm having a hard time holding it together while reading your post! I would love to get ahold of those people (monsters) and teach them a thing or two! Is there anyway of getting the word out about these monsters? maybe some embarrasment would be a good thing! I am so so sorry!!! I truely wish I could help!

It does sound like there is something wrong with the little guy. I wish you the best! and I'm sure you will get some good advise as to what to do next.

What a way to start the day...I'll be praying for you

Susan
