One of my female parakeets has been laying eggs. Yesterday was her 5th on all together, none of them could have hatched because they all were at least a little cracked and they weren't fertile. I tried feeding her cooked noodles, she doesn't eat them.
The reason why I need your help is because I am going to the pet store today and i need to know what I buy.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Hi did you remove her eggs?
She should have cuttlefish bone available this will replace calcium lost during her egg laying.

You can try her on boiled eggs mushed up, Whole wheat bread.
Fruit and veggies..

Hi even though the eggs have a slight crack in them they should not be removed until the incubation period is over which is 19days.

Removeing the eggs as they have been laid or shortly after will result in the hen laying more to replace the eggs lost resulting in a bird with a calcium deficiency which can lead to brittle bones and you can also end up with a very sick bird.

I only let my birds lay 2clutches a year and the rest of the year the nest boxes are removed this helps the hen rebuild her calcium reserves for when she starts laying again next year.

Hi cuttlefish bone will help with her calcium also giving her boiled eggs mushed up with the shell and allowed to cool is also a good source of calcium.
