![]() ![]() Hi everyone. We have 2 parakeets in a cage, 1m and 1f. They are failry young it seems, but we can't be sure as we bought them from a pet store. Our female parakeet, Charlie, has never let us touch her. However now she is all fluffed up and keeps her eyes closed, and has let us touch her. She seems really lethargic. Do those seem like she might be pregnant (we are 90% sure we walked in on them once or twice)? Could it be that she is sick? If so - what do these symptoms mean? Our m parakeet seems to be fine. Thank you all very much for your help. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Hi your bird is sick birds dont get pregnant they lay eggs... Fluffed up feathers and being lethargic is a sign of illness and she should been seen by an avian vet ASAP to determine what is wrong... If the birds have mated there is a chance that she maybe egg bound which is serious if the egg is not expelled please take her to an avain vet... please keep us posted if u would like more help please email me at boro_lad1976@hotmail.com and i will be pleased to help you mike IP: Logged |
