![]() ![]() Hey all, I've been thinking about buying a bird for several weeks now. I don't know why, I came across an article on birds and I suddenly had a longing to have one as a companion! I researched them and I decided that a cockatiel is the right bird for me, personality, appearance, size, and price-wise. I take very good care of all my animals; I currently have three cats and seven betta fish. I've had hamsters and one pretty little california king snake, and all but Kamla(my snake) lived long and happy lives. Sadly, she was let out of her cage while I wasn't around and went outside. I never found her ![]() a) in the store they were selling lutino cockatiels for $105. Is this reasonable? I've read they usually cost about $40.. b) since i do have cats in the house, should I keep the bird's wings unclipped? thanks for reading my long winded post.. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Hi, I think cockatiels are the best type of birds to have. I have a cockatiel and we don't have cats but we have dogs. We had to get our bird's wings clipped because he would fly around the house and get stuck behind things and occasionally get hurt from it. If u have some hazardous or high places in yor house, them you might not want to get it's wings clipped. And also, if u do get it's wings clipped it doesn't totally stop it from flying it can still fly pretty good. So i don't think you have to worry about that. Well I hope this helped a little bit.
