Author | Topic: getting cockatiels to mate |
jess unregistered |
![]() ![]() I have two lutino cockatiels that we are pretty sure are a male and a female. We were hoping that they might lay eggs but they never have. I'm pretty sure that they mate though. He stands on top of her back and a lady at the petstore said that this is how they mate. I wonder do i have to prepare a nest first or is there something else i need to do to achieve this. Advise would be great! IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Heya Jess, We also have two cockatiels here. I placed a little box(big enough for them to climb into) in their cage with holes for them to enter and exit. I read somewhere that having a nestbox for the cockatiels is necessary for them to mate successfully. A few days ago I noticed 2 little eggs in it. ![]() ![]() IP: Logged |
