![]() ![]() ![]() have three large pirannas and four smaller ones...not much smaller but smaller...have been offered believe correct name is pacu they I believe are related to pirannas but are vegetarians....can I put them in with pirannas and can I mix my smaller ones in with larger ones...large ones about 10" or so (how do you measure a piranna....carefully I am sure) and smaller ones about 6-8inches...any info re mixing these fish would be appreciated..thanks...piranna lover IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Yes, pacus are related to piranahs. However, if I were you, I'd get rid of them now because they grow incredibly fast and will get around 3 feet in length. To properly house ONE adult pacu, you will need around 500 gallons. IMO, pet stores shouldn't even sell them because very few people are actually have tanks big enough to properly house them. -Chelle IP: Logged |
