Hello All! Since you guys have always been able to help with my questions I thought I would ask something that's been on my mind for a year or so now. My melanochromis auratus (african cichlid) tends to change color every once in a while. It was vividly colored when I bought it but as it grew it turned this sort of drab grayish color with 2 black stripes. Does anyone know why this happened, it is because of the sex of the fish. I've always thought it was a female but looking at it's colors against other photos of the same species I'm not too sure. Here's a pic if it will help. Thanks so much, you all are great! IP: Logged |
