My betta recently died and I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out what was wrong with him so it doesn't happen again, here's what happened: Two days ago I noticed he wasn't swimming very much but I really didn't think anything of it, by that night I noticed that the right side of his body had turned a light gray color (he's usually bright blue) and there was a little white thing growing out of his gill. I found some fungus medication and medicated right then. By the next morning he was dead and most of his head, right side, and belly were the gray color. I've never had anything like this happen before, I had recently added two clown loaches and 3 guppies but none of them are sick. Could my betta have developed something on his own or died from old age? I'd had him for 8 months. Thanks a lot! IP: Logged |

Hi tina1, You're original diagnoses of fungus sounds correct. Just a little late. IP: Logged |
