As a springboard off my just prior post, my question is....how do you know if your dog simply doesn't like his food? I switched him to Innova about a month ago (very slowly). He was eating it fine at both meals, combined with a little canned food. But now, about a week ago, he doesn't seem to be interested in his breakfast. (I've started offering him just the dry Innova only because I hate wasting the food). He picks at it...so about a 1/2 hour later I just pick it up for the rest of the day. For his evening meal, he sniffs at it, walks away, and then has a second thought and decides to chow it. And he does finish.

Does this sound like a fussy eater? Or is a change in food warranted? If so, what else is out there that is really healthy and yummy?

Let me know what you think. Thanks!

Robin

Sounds like he just don't think he wants it but will eat it anyway .If it works and he is eating ,he will get use to it ...

Romeo is kind of the same, when I put it out he will not eat it. (Different type of dog food though) He likes to be able to eat when he wants to, and that's fine w/ me. I give him a certain amount each day and leave it out for when he wants to eat it. If he gets hungry he'll eat it, but not until then. So...I am not sure if that helped, but I think if your dog is hungry he'll eat.
