Hello. I have been confused on what I should call my puppy when asked what breed he is. He is half shitzu and half poodle. I've seen some people call it a shupoo, and other names. What shall I say? Shitzu/poodle mix? Thanks! IP: Logged |

Most people call them shi-poo's. But then there is alot of non-dog owners that really don't know dog breeds, so you you will end up having to explain no matter what you call it. ------------------ IP: Logged |

I believe you're right. No matter what they call him, I'll still have to explain won't I? Thanks again. IP: Logged |

Its like me calling my tri-colored dog perhaps a Jack-border. I believe he is a jack russel terrier, mixed with border collie. I am forever just saying to people what do you think he is. ------------------ IP: Logged |

shi-poo is the right term i belive. If your filling out forms for a sport IE) Agility or Flyball then jsut call him/her a cross or a shi-poo, in the catologue it will come up as a All-American. or you could jsut put down All-American, its the friendly name for a "mutt" or a mixed breed. The corrected name for a boarder collie jack russell is reversed. Its a boarder-Jack. Or thats what the breeder of my dog Chaos calls them IP: Logged |
