I have just changed my toy poodle over to the "Royal Canine Mini" She was on Nutro Natural Choice but was throwing up all the time. I was told that the Royal Canine is a great brand of dog food. It looks very good to me. Just curious if anyone else feeds there dogs this or has any comments. Here is a link to the brand I feed http://www.caninehealthnutrition.com/

This seems to be an alright food. The corn being the third ingrediant says that angel is eating lots of corn. The first 3 or 4 ingrediants is what your dogs food is mostly. Corn is not the best filler and if anything its best to have more meat and grains. But see how she does. The reason I changed to Innova was because Sasha Poo was always kind of belching and had stomache noise always. I went to the store to buy some digestive enzymes, whatever that was. They said to perhaps give Innova a try we did, no more stomache gurglings. See how she does. More than likely you will go thru a few different brands before you stop with one. Hope it helps her. I have tried to find innova, but noone selse it here. I feel bad for switching her food so much. This is the 3rd brand I have given her, and she is only 7 months old. The lady at Petco said that Royal Canin was one of the best brands to feed her. Its more expensive then the other kinds, so I hope its whats best for Angel. IP: Logged |

I THINK I've heard of that brand, but I haven't had any experience with it. IP: Logged |

Royal Canin is a pretty good brand,IMO. I like some of their formulas better than others. Their "Natural Blend" formula even made the WDJ top dry foods list. I would just keep her on it for now and see how she does. There are some good foods out there that use corn (not as the first ingredient of course) and IMO its not as bad as many make it out to be. I have my 5 month old Chihuahua, and 2 cats on Royal Cainin. There are no holistics. Its a really good brand. Petsmart just started carrying it for like .59 cents cheaper. My sister breeds pugs, they are known for food allergies and Royal Canin has fixed all of that. My Chihuahua is on the mini puppy food also. I love that they have so many steps of food for every walk of life. I tried one of my Chihuahua's Royal Canin bones, they were really good, lol. I've recommended Royal Cainin to many people, and they all liked it also. ------------------ IP: Logged |
