Hi Puttin510, I didn't get him, when I went to purchase him, they told me he had an undershot jaw, which was rated at a level 2 by a vet. I have no idea what this really means, I knew he would have a bit of an underbite, from the SHih-Tzu half, but that a vet rated it at a level 2, which meant there could potentially be a problem. He was examined over 2 motnhs ago, and it could have gotten worse as he got older. I spoke to the store manager, they would not let a vet see him before purchase, they said I can buy him, bring him to a vet, and if the undershot had progressed and the vet found him not suitable for sale, I could bring him back and get a refund. I was furious, I could not bring this baby with me, and then find out he has health issues, that will cost me thousands of dollars, so I would bring him back. No way. I was asking lot's of questions, and the manager and kennel supervisor were getting pretty snappy at me, it was not a good situation. So I decided not to bring him home. I cried all the way home, thinking about him, and what would happen to him. Maybe I should have got him, but the what if's are to much for me. I am still searching in my area, Still looking for a Shih-Poo, Cindylou-poo IP: Logged |

I know it was a hard decision. It is so hard do such things when your heart is involved. Hopefully someone will take him in that is in the right postition. Like I said. My poos had an overbite. The only problem she has is loosing teeth. But this is a normal trait in small dogs. You made the right decision. Though it hurts. It shows that you thought thru thing completely. I hope you find yourself a pup soon. Did you do a search perhaps for shitzu's . They sometimes don't advertise but some may have mixes. Or some Oppsies. Stiff upper lip now. Think good thought for the shop pup. IP: Logged |
