Whoooo hooo! thanks Auspetian, but I think I'll just moderate over the shipo forum. Would you happen to have a page for rules and guidelines? Thanks again. IP: Logged |

congrats i'm happy to see how the toy dog forum is doing.. i've been a member of auspet for quite a while and have seen a lot of bashing go on.. in the beginning the regular dog forum had a lot of poo mix owners but the occasional basher came along and drove everyone away.. then when the pitbull forum opened i thought that bashing may end but instead that forum went more than a little crazy (with bashing between apbt owners).. well i hope we can stay friendly, happy, and welcoming to everyone congrats to the new moderators IP: Logged |

I believe as long as we all try to say helpful posts it will be fine, I mean we all love our pets as well as others right? IP: Logged |

I am going to have to decline your offer for being the big dog Moderator, but thank you very much for the offer. That alone tells me that you think very well of me. I only venture over there once in a blue moon. I have not owned a large dog since I was in school. I think it would be best for someone who has dealt with big dogs alot. But thank you, I feel honored. IP: Logged |

this board will be fun i think. hopefully everyone will be on the same page and just enjoy sharing and talking about their little dogs without being hateful towards each other. i'll have to admit, i let myself get sucked into the ugliness on the other board sometimes, it was enough to make me leave it for quite a while only to discover when i did come back that the controversy hadn't ended after so many months. like a soap opera, when you quit watching for a while and when you come back you know exactly whats going on because the plot & the characters haven't changed much at all. anyway, new beginnings here. i look forward to seeing new people, new pictures, making new friends and maybe learning a few things & if i can help anyone out i will. thanks everyone IP: Logged |

Regarding Auspet posting rules, guidelines etc. 1. No Abusive language. Posts with the above content should be immediately deleted or snipped (leaving out only the informative bits – pet related). If any moderator wants to add any new rules to this list then please post your suggestions below. Have a great weekend all Auspetian IP: Logged |

Auspetitian I would like to moderate the large dogs. I know since this forum is for small dogs there arent as many people that own large dogs. Small dogs and large dogs get misunderstood in there own way. Me myself owning large dogs would love to moderate the large dog forum. IP: Logged |

Auspetian, as a moderator I was wondering if this would fall in line of the rules. This might be placed in one of the above though: No competative postings. The reason saying is because, if someone starts posting why one breed is better than another..this could very well turn into an argument. Well this may not ever happen though. Just a thought! Ilovemypups and Ilove mypets just out of curiouity what did I say that was competitive. I sure wasnt trying to be. I just saw on here that auspetian need moderators for large dog forum and none of you were interested and I was. Small dogs are misunderstood I didnt mean anything negative by it. I see it all the time people think that small dogs are little yap yap dogs that arent smart, are not trained and jump all over you. And none of it is true. Some people tend to think that small dogs are not as intelligent as larger dogs which I am sure everyone on this forum will disagree to as will I. You guys prefer small dogs I prefer large. Its just a preference and I dont have any problems with small dogs I would just be afraid of stepping on them. Which reminds me for those that read this. Just out of curiousity do your small dogs get stepped by accident like do they run under your feet and stuff. I am just curious cuz I know when I used to have a cat that was an issue I just wondered if it was with small dogs. Well I just wanted to explain myself I honestly didnt mean anything by what I wrote I dont see anything wrong that I wrote but I am sorry if you thought it was. But I am curious about the question I asked. Talk to yall later and have fun. IP: Logged |

Right, Iluvmypup and I were not at all directing that rule towards you! I'm sorry if it appeared like it was. I was just thinking of things that would cause trouble and that came to my mind. Lol, it wasnt towards you at all! [This message has been edited by ilovemypets (edited 06-21-2003).] IP: Logged |

Yes, I tend to agree. Posts with “why one breed is better then another” are fruitless and if anything, tend to lead to fights and personal bashings. Most of us know what breed is good for us and how much we are prepared to pay for one breed or another. Posts of this nature should be kept under watchful eyes and if going overboard the thread should be closed or deleted to avoid pointless continued fighting among members. Remember, moderators should be busy keeping the peace and the boards as an informative platform. Not a battle zone. So please everyone, be polite, friendly and helpful as much as you can. P.S. Cheers IP: Logged |
