I have 4 cats and one year old kitten. The problem is that one of the 5 is slightly overweight. It's difficult for me not to leave dry food out all the time because of the others. When I feed them wet food in the morning I only give him a small spoonful so he doesn't feel left out. Anyone have advise on how to put just one cat on a diet? IP: Logged |

Hello. I'm sure other members will have some better advice, but you could try to make your one kitty more active. This will help him/her lose some weight. Get a lazer pointer and play with him/her or any other fun toys. I think two 15 minutes sessions (or stop when the kitty gets tired) twice a day of active play should help him/her slim down a little. my kitty chyanne was ovrweight not to long ago and the vet recomended iams weight control and it worked great and my other cats didnt seem to mind it either they liked it.... i also had a laser that is the only toy she would play w/ she went crazy after that thing i woudl play w/ her it in the morning till she got tired and at night till she got tired and now she is normal weight... even though i gave her the weight control dry food i still fed her a lil wet at night of the iams weight control.. and the good thing was that it didnt break my budget!!!!
