I realize that this may sound weird, but I am wondering whether anybody else has encountered this. I have two cats, a male and female. They have both been spayed and neutered. Recently my male cat (who is 8 years old) has started humping my young daughters stuffed animals. We have tried to keep them away from him, but he seems to find them. My daughter gets upset when she sees him doing this, and I am wondering why he has all of a sudden taken on this hobby? If anyone else has experienced this please let me know! IP: Logged |

Hello. Welcome to the site. Are you sure your cat is not kneading? For instance he may have a piece of the stuffed animal in his mouth and with his front paws he would be kneading (massaging) the stuffed animal. IP: Logged |

My cat does this. He is 14 years old. He will knead clothing and move it across the house as he makes a loud meowing sound. I have caught him several times when the house is quiet, mainly at night....I will hear him meowing very loudly, then he will appear with anything from sweatshirts to bath towels in his mouth (no stuffed animals but I'm sure if there were kids in the house it would be). This doesn't sound weird to me as this happens several times a week. IP: Logged |

Fluffman likes to do that with my stuffed lion. I keep Mr. Lion under the covers and he leaves him alone. Try picking up the animals or covering them up. IP: Logged |
