Hi, my 5-month old cat/kitten (Remo) has a brown to semi-clear discharge in its left eye that gets quite globby after a few days. He has a very small, almost imperceptable squint in the eye, but doesn't appear red, cloudy or any other ominous signs. I am guessing he has had it for a week or two, and his brother (Sebastian) is unaffected. Any ideas? He's going to the vet in a few weeks anyway to get fixed but want to know if I should go in ahead of time. Thanks in advance... Jason IP: Logged |

Hello. Welcome to the site. Yes, I would take your kitty to the vet sooner than his actual appt. It would be best if you could take him in sometime this week. Keep us posted. IP: Logged |

It could be from a lot of things. My cats eye does something similar b/c of a birth defect, but it can also be from an infection. You should take him in soon. If it is an infection he could pass it to Sebastian. IP: Logged |
