Our cat has been to the vet several times for sores on his neck and head. We were told it was food allergies, and put our cat on a special diet. The sores continued to show up and after multiple diets the allergies have persisted. If anyone has any information that can help we would appreciate it. IP: Logged |

Hello. I looked up a few sites for you to click onto and read. I hope they help. http://www.petz.co.uk/vetontheweb/new/article12.html http://homepage.ntlworld.com/jilldavison/food-allergies-in-cats.html [This message has been edited by Chessmind (edited 12-19-2003).] [This message has been edited by Chessmind (edited 12-19-2003).] IP: Logged |

This article is a pretty good summary of different skin conditions that cause fur loss: http://www.nzymes.com/Articles/cat_skin_hair_problems.htm Maybe you will find something there that will help. What kind of special diet do you have your cat on? IP: Logged |

Was he put on the Hill's Z/D diet? Maybe his allergies are caused by something other than or in addition to food....did your vet rule out inhalant allergies? IP: Logged |

I think that California Natural is supposed to be good for animals with allergies b/c it has so few ingredients. Someone else probably knows for sure though. IP: Logged |
