Our cat has been to the vet several times for sores on his neck and head. We were told it was food allergies, and put our cat on a special diet. The sores continued to show up and after multiple diets the allergies have persisted. If anyone has any information that can help we would appreciate it.

This article is a pretty good summary of different skin conditions that cause fur loss: http://www.nzymes.com/Articles/cat_skin_hair_problems.htm

Maybe you will find something there that will help. What kind of special diet do you have your cat on?

Was he put on the Hill's Z/D diet?
Maybe his allergies are caused by something other than or in addition to food....did your vet rule out inhalant allergies?

I think that California Natural is supposed to be good for animals with allergies b/c it has so few ingredients. Someone else probably knows for sure though.
