I have a kitten that is about 8 months old. We moved to a new apt. about three months ago and after about a month at the new place he started peeing on my bed. He did it off and on only a few times for a while and then had about three weeks where nothing happened. I covered my bed with a plastic sheet even though I know it's not supposed to help, I didn't want to have to close him up in his room. Then he eventually peed on the plastic covering on Monday. I started using Feliway spray which is a feromone spray to help make cats more comfortable with their surroundings but he has peed three times since I started. The last time I saw him on my bed and he was squatting down so I picked him up and put him by his litter box. He then went on my roommate's bed and peed there instead. Before this it had only been on my bed. I have no idea what else to do to make him stop, I feel like I have tried so many things already. Can anyone help me?!

I would have a urinary tract infection ruled out first. Then I would confine him to one smaller room (such as the bathroom or laundry room) with his litter box for a few weeks to see if you can get him back into the habit of using the box only.
Is this cat neutered?

Forgot to add...you can also maybe try a product called Rescue Remedy which is supposed to have a calming affect on stressed animals. I beleive you can add it right to his water.

Then try using something to rid the soiled items of the scent so he isnt attracted to use it again. I have found a product called Get Serious and it seems to do the job. You can find it at Petsmart.

I have just managed to stop my cat peeing on my sofa after lots of help from the lovely people here and some advice from a woman who runs a cat sanctuary.

It would seem if you cat doesnt have a UTI that she could be insecure about new surrounding. Are there any cats that come and sit outside your home that could be upsetting her, or do you have air conditioning that is linked to the rest of the building that the smell of another cat could be coming through? This can make your animal very territorial and sometimes they urinate fully when this happens instead of just spraying.
With my cat all I did was make sure I cleaned up the pee and good rid of the odour and then I started to make specific time for her everyday. She gets an hour of cuddles and play all to herself and she seems to have responded really well, she seems happier and fingers crossed we have not had any accidents for a good 10 days. Cats are pretty sensitive creaures so even moving the furniture around or changing the sheets can upset them. You need to try to find the cause so that you can help her get over it.

Well, he seems to be doing much better. I am still using the Feliway spray, I've had the UTI checked a while ago. I also put one of his favorite blankets on my bed, which seems to be helping since he knows it's "his". Thanks for your advice!
