![]() ![]() ![]() Help! My long hair cat has very matted hair on her hind legs and sides. The matted hair has dandruff-type stuff. My cat absolutely hates to be brushed. She never goes outside (very rarely) so I don't think it's fleas. I can pull some of the hair out by chunks. Do I need to take her to a vet or can I fix this at home? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Indoor cats still get fleas...you can carry them in on your clothes, ect. If you can pull the matted hair out yourself without hurting her than go for it but if she is matted so badly that they have to be cut out....I would take her to a groomer because its way too easy to accidently cut their skin no matter how careful you are.
