My almost 1 year old cat (September 14) is albino and she really loves going outside with the other cats. However she is albino and cannot go in the sun. Since she is younger she does what the other cats do, she is now learning to lay in the sun with the other cats. how should i take care of her? Why can't she go outside? Does it hurt her eyes (she always has to squint when she goes outside even if we put her in the shade), or her skin (white fur) or both??? do i need to put sunscreen on her or do i need to just keep her inside and not let her have any fun? All help will be gratefull. thank you!! [This message has been edited by PinkRoxi (edited 08-23-2003).] [This message has been edited by PinkRoxi (edited 08-23-2003).] IP: Logged |

Im assuming that since he is albino.....he would be easily prone to sunburn. Im not sure if there is sunscreen for cats or not..you may want to consult your vet on this matter. IP: Logged |

Is your cat actually albino, or just a white cat? I'm not sure what an albino cat would be. IP: Logged |

My cat is actually albino. She has the pink eyes and everything. all albino animals are white with pink or red eyes, but sometimes they can be blue (usually when they're blue the cat is deaf). IP: Logged |
