![]() ![]() ![]() Hi, my cat takes pills when we go on vacation because he has a separation anxiety. Anyway, it can be difficult to give cats pills, but what I found works best is if I approach him when he is calm, dip the pill in his Fancy Feast (he gets it only as a treat at night so he likes this) to cover it with a good flavor, and then I cradle his head in one hand while I open his mouth and push the pill in with the other. The vet showed me you have to quickly push it pretty far into his throat b/c otherwise it will come right back up. Then s/he should swallow it okay, but hold his/her mouth shut with your hand for a second and rub his/her nose with your finger, this makes them swallow. Keep trying and good luck! IP: Logged |
