My cat has been ill for a couple of days now,I took her to the vet and they said she had a virus, put her on amoxil,I ve been giveing her water with a syringe/dropper by hand, she just started to eat lightly.I am concerned about her not urinating as far as I can tell she hasnt went yet. How does one go about stimulating a cat into urinating? IP: Logged |

I know that when you stimulate a kitten to urinate you use a warm cloth and gently massage his/her rear-end. You do so for ten seconds or so and a kitten will go. A trained cat may be reluctant...but maybe this might make him/her have the urgency and then use the litter box. I hope that helps. It's worth a shot at least. Let me know how you make out IP: Logged |
