  13 year old cat sick!

My dear 13 year old cat just began showing serious signs of a problem yesterday. She was mewing loudly from under a bed and was limping, staggering. I took her to the vet. Xray showed spot in lung, being treated now w/antibiotic, and bone fusion near hip area (from age...like arthritis). She came home today, and is no better. Is she dying??? I notice she holds her left rear paw completly bent over when walking, as not to walk on her paw pad. I'm so worried. She stays under bed and is lythargic.

As she is on antibiotics they may take a few days to work properly. Also antibiotics can make an animal lethargic, even go off their food. Give it a few days and hopefully she will soon feel better.
Re her pawpad, have you had a good look at her paw? Maybe she has something in it? I don't think that would be connected to the infection in her lung, or the hip. Im sure you can ring your vet with any queries.
