Help! I have had my cat for years now. She has been an indoor/outdoor cat now for about four years. The problem is that she has decided my bathroom rug is her spot to wet. I have been trying to keep the bathroom door shut, but now I smell a spot on my livingroom area rug. Any ideas or suggestions to help me solve this problem?? IP: Logged |

Hopefully your cat doesn't have any medical or emotional problems. First try putting a litter box in the bathroom and give her some time to adjust to it. She should get the hint. If she uses it praise her for it. It may be inconvenient for you but it will help you determine if there is any medical problem associated with this new behavior. Maybe there is a cat outdoors bothering her? Who knows, alot of things can set a cat off. Don't scold her for her behavior; she won't understand and you will regret it if she is sick. Also make sure to check her litter box for any blood or discoloration in the urine. If she doesn't subside call your vet and have him/her help you. IP: Logged |
