I have a continuing problem with my cat Hera (a female, in case you never studied mythology). SHe's about 1 1/2 years old> To be honest, Hera's not the smartest cat. Hera keeps urinating in the corner of my living room next to my speakers. This always happens in the night when I'm asleep. I rub her nose in it, smack her head a few times, then throw her outside but it hasn't helped (that method's worked with my other two cats when they misbehave). I don't keep a litterbox inside because we live on a retired farm and the cats can go out freely. Putting a litterbox in is not an option (and my other two don't have any trouble with going outside). Does anyone have a suggestion on how I can make her use the backyard instead? IP: Logged |

I think your cat is doing it, in order to get back at you for something or there must be something outside at night ur cat is afraid of. Cats do things for reasons.. Find out what is troubling your cat. With the smacking..cats don't respond to that if not done directly afterward(as they have short attention spans) For the spot try nilodour. works great IP: Logged |

Don't hit youR cat. Try Leaving her outside for one night and see if she understands what you want her to learn. Calm yourself when training cats. IP: Logged |
