Ok, so i wanna know what colour my horse is. I'm almost certain she isnt black. I'm leaning towards bay at the moment, but i wanna see what other people think. I've posted on 2 other forums already. One forum mainly said dark bay, and the other said black. And on my Live journal i think it was brown...

So here are some pics of her

here she is looking very light (when she molts, she goes light coloured)

I would consider her brown, as she has a lighter colored muzzle. She's very pretty!

She looks like she's seal brown to me. Some black horses will sun fade to some extent, but usually not that much. Seal brown horses can look pretty black, though, if they aren't getting a lot of sun, like would happen in the winter.

I agree with Shine, with the sun and it also can be the minerals ect, in the ground with the richness/fading of color. If I was to look at her, I would say shes black.

I thought that color was called seal or bay, I new it had something to do with the ocean. If I remember correctly horse colors have different names than normal colors.

    what i think is.....

in the photos your horse looks black but close up she would probably look lighter i would say she is a very dark brown close to black but not quite there

It is just like darkish brown or blackish brown. Very pretty horse and color.
