I have a 7 month old kitten with fever who has been lying around for two days and won't eat or drink. I can't take him to the vet. Does anyone know of anything I can do for him?

Hi having a fever and not eating and drinking for 2 days is really bad, Your kitten will become dehydrated very quickly.

He really needs to see a vet ASAP to have a full check up and see whats going on.
No-one on here will be able to diagnose what is wrong with him just that he needs the vets..

This might sound abit harsh but if you can not take him to the vets becos of money problems then ring the vet see if can come up with a payment plan if not then the kindest thing to do is surrender him to a shelter so they can lok after him and get him put right.

Hopefully its nothing too serious but time is not on his side at the moment.

hope you let us know what happens but I'm gonna be honest here - if you cannot take a pet to the vet when it is obviously ill you should not have the vet!!!!
It's like having a sick kid

Vet care is important if you are going to have pets

    Hi,

Not to preach, but you should know that having a pet is wonderful, and it is like having a small child who depends upon you to furnish everything it needs to be happy and healthy. If you can not afford proper food and health care for your cat, just maybe a pet isn't for you. Otherwise get the cat to a Vet and get it some help.
