I am looking for a pet. I have a cat but, she is a hunter and i would rally like a hamster but i am scared that she will hurt it. I want to keep my cat but i also want a small pet. These are the things that i am looking for: small, cute, lives in a cage, fun, kid and cat friendly. No reptiles, fish, cats or dogs. What should i get?

I vote with benny boy I love both sugar gliders and ferrets! However, if you get a sugar glider, keep in mind that they are VERY shy, and there favorite place will most likely be in an oven mitt!
