I am going away to University next fall and am already dreading leaving all my animals (they will stay home well taken care of!) I have a Retriever, Holland Lop rabbit and horse.

The rez's I will be in are pretty big but I don't want anything like a cat or dog-that's just not economical for being away like that!

Any ideas as to what I could take with me or buy to keep me occupied. I am thinking along the lines of a hamster..gecko... NO fish!! Any ideas?!!

I would check with the school policies. My first year in University I had to smuggle in my 2 Newts claiming if they came out of the water they would die. This was a lie of course since they always come out and sun bath.
