Hey everyone

I had a question about my male Cockatiel.

When ever he is in his cage (most of the time he is not) and I start talking to him, he gets off his perch and goes to the corner in the far left. The strange thing is, I am female, and he never does this when my fiancee talks to him.

In detail, he gets in the corner and fluffs up, slightly spreads his wings, and sometimes rock side to side.

Can anyone help me? I am totally lost, lol.

Oh, and I hope this works, here is a pic of my bird, his name is Lil' Bug.

P.S. Sorry about the large pic . I will fix it soon.

I know this reply is a little late (bout a month) But I just saw it and let me tell you... he's doing that to impress you. I've only see birds do that in two different situations, with the first being bathing. When I bathe the cockatiels at work, they fluff up like that, roll their heads back and enjoy the shower. The second time is when my blue ringneck sat on my shoulder, and I was rubbing him. He started purring, yes PURRING! He fluffed up and sat there and nuzzled me. No, everytime he sees me, he fluffs, hoping for another rub. And just let me say, your cockatiel is cute!
