He sounds like a definate BYB!!! That is really sad. I'll be emailing you later, if I can find your email. On your site maybe?

if I breed a Jeep/Camelot dog to a Jeep/Colby dog - would it even be worth my time, or should I sell him and find a better suited dog to go with my Jeep/Colby?

That depends, but from what I understand (from your posts) he isn't really a jeep/camelot dog. He is more of a very loose dog with some shallow line breeding. I'm not certain, but thats what it sounds like to me. But it would just depend really. What are the traits of each dog individually and what do you hope to produce. Which ever avenue you use to prove your dogs you would have to see if they make it that far and contemplate about what offspring the potential breeding would produce. Me personally would never do the camelot thing!! Why get another dog (male) to stud? You have a jeep/colby and could find a stud elsewhere. There are some nice ones out there, pure colby, or redboy/jeep/cobly.
