Yeah hey people, im a new member, and i'have my pitty for just under 2 years, he was found in a sack with 7 others, been dumped by some mungrel person..

I gave the 7 others to the local "SPCA" and kept one, being a german shepard owner for 17 years, i didnt feel i'd have any problems with my dog, but like any animal i've had a few issues...

His names scooby, he weights 42kg now, not fat nore thin, just right for his size.. Hes full on energy, is totally a indoor dog, And loves his KONG (which i highly recommend to all pitty owners, best to ween them onto it when young)

Hes "pinned" a prowler one evening, he basically chased the bloke, the guy had turned around to put his hands out to protect himself, but the interesting thing was, my dog only grabbed both his hands and pinned him, he didnt chew, rip shake or do anything untowards... Reckon any other breed would have repeatbley bitten the prowler..

But i have no real questions, just searching out other owners of pittys to see what kind of characters there dogs are...

My pitty (Scooby Doo) is much more intelligent than my previous dog "Sheba".

In new zealand theres a growing problem with pitbulls and owners and constant flaming of the breed, it drives me mad, Myself i get comments when ever im out with my dog... I have hit 2 people myself for being completely nasty and threatening...
(threatening to report me for no reason, i felt justified)

I also read on another post about a policeman who shot a dog in its own home.. thats just plain out wrong, hope someone pays that man a visit or he gets delt to with harsh punishments, myself i love my dog to bits and cant see how anyone could do such a thing to a dog, specially in there own home...

If anyone wants to talk or show off there dog with pictures etc, feel free to contact me on msn fmj@helix.net.nz
