I've seen so many pictures of your dogs,eg. True_Pits, and they look so GOOD!! When I got Reese, I was going to have his ears cropped. Made the appointment and backed out the day before. The staff at the clinc talked me out of it. Well, anyway, someone I know called Reese's ears "Dumbo Ears". I just blew it off, but after looking at all your dogs and how good they look, I think everyone is pointing and laughing. This applies to my Gracie, too. To me they're beautiful.Just makes me think back to when My Mom use to dress me in dumb clothes when I was a kid and tell me how pretty I was, when in fact I looked like a dork. Also I might ad that the operation was around $400, so tell me how these ads in the paper sell pit pups for $200 with ears cropped. Are you thinking what I'm thinking?? HAVE MERCY! Going to try to post pics. Haven't had much luck. Guess they won't work. http://pittypat2az.tripod.com

I think Reese looks fine with ears, a real cutie. $400 GEEZ thats a lot!! Wonder what Reese would have looked like with ears cropped though? It kind of makes you wonder, it can change some dogs whole appearance. I think it would change Santana's.

Speaking of papers ours didn't have too many ads today, a few of the same from lastweek and just a couple more.

First off if you like the way your dogs look thats all that counts. Second all the people who think your dog is cute may think he is dangerous looking with a crop. The cost to have a young puppies ears cropped should run about 150.00-200.00. An adult may be more because they may have to be knocked out to have it done. As far as the ads you have seen many byb's crop the puppies ears on their own not at the vets.

THANX Kyles: They are adorable!! I love their ears when I give them their ear massages. I just hope people don't laugh at my pits ears, cuz they're really sensitive to criticism. We just love them for whom they are.

$400 does sound like a lot of money. Your Pits look great. I personally prefer uncropped ears for my girl but some dogs do look damn good with the cropped. I am sure people are not laughing at your dog, and in some ways they may be looking at your dog and thinking "huh, maybe they're not so scary after all."

I have a female that looks exactly like Reese (except for w white stripe on her face). Her ears look just like Reese's. I wouldn't crop them for anything. My husband and I prefer the natural ears. Plus, the cropped ears do make them look more 'vicous' to the general public. Leave them like they are.
