I feel safe walking my dog

Yesterday afternoon, I was walking my American Pit Bull terrier in a wooded area.

While I was walking, I was thinking about the recent story that The Providence Journal Bulletin did on the Craig Price murders.

I was thinking of the fright, pain, and torment those poor victims had endured.

The utter thought of it made the hair on the back of my neck stand up.

Then, I realized that I had nothing to fear!! I had my American Pit Bull Terrier dog by my side!!!

Thanks to OWNING a WONDERFUL, noble, & loyal breed, I feel completely safe while I am outside or indoors alone. I don't think anyone will be breaking into my home without a problem either.

I am an outdoors type of person.

I love to walk my dogs, hike, ride my mountain bike etc.

I am THANKFUL I can do this without fear of being attacked by another person thanks to my great dogs!!!!

I am the proud owner of three beautiful shelter pitbulls. All are trained and well socialized.

Once last year, I was walking one of my three pitbulls on the Cranston bike path. While I was walking with my dog, a pervert happened to be in the woods exposing himself.

A police officer was walking the path asking people questions about the pervert.

Funny thing, I was not approached by Mr. Perv and his exposure games but every other lady on the path at the same time as myself was. I wonder why???

Could it be he was afraid of my dog?

I THINK SO!

The funny thing is this, my dogs only look mean, they would kill you with kindness and kisses; but it does help to have them with me when I am alone to ward off potential pervs and rapists and murderers.
I also know they would step up the plate and protect me or my children if any of us were ever in danger.

I feel secure when I am with them!!

Its a shame that people are not aware of the positive side of owning these beautiful dogs.

Pitbulls in the proper hands owned by loving people make great family dogs. They are smart, loyal, noble, kind, and are an added plus when you need reassurance of feeling safe when you are alone in the park, on bike paths, in empty parking lots or as in the Craig Price stories even in your own home.

Sincerely,

Susan

Thanks, yes, I did e-mail it yesterday.
I am hoping to gain interest with the average family owing pitbulls!
Too bad many people do not know what great family dogs they are!
And, yes it is a true story about the pervert on the bike path!!!
