I was out with my puppy last night and met a dumb punk kid who asked about my dog. I told him what breed he was and the kid mentioned that there were a couple that came to fight at the ring he goes to! He continued to 'brag' about how he's gone through 6 dogs in 3 months!! It was so hard not to freak out and choke the little ba@#*%#d but I wanted to get as much info as I could. I'm hoping that he was just coming up with a story to try to impress me, but if not, he's out of my animal control region and I didn't get much info out of him. I did give him my cell phone # and told him that I was interested in getting involved. Hopefully he'll call and I can find out where it's going on. I plan to go. As hard as it is going to be, I want to make sure before I call the cops. Has anyone ever seen anything like this in real life. I want to try to prepare myself for what I might see.....

no, no, no....don't get me wrong....I'm not going just to see what it's like....I'm going to find out what I can about it and I'm going to be the one to get the police involved. I see where you're coming from, and I hope that while I'm there to get info that it's not busted! I don't want to send the police without going myself just in case my first visit is on an off day (to keep them safe) I want to know that it's going on for sure when the cops show up

yeah i totally get what you're saying, i just hope the police will understand. you gotta understand all the crap people have tried to tell them to get out of being busted. i was just saying that i hope the fight doesn't get busted when you go there for the first time. if i were you i would go the first time and try and get numbers of different people. because odds are different people will be involved in more than one ring or know people who are. so if the cops are smart they will just watch it for a while and follow the different people involved and follow the people that the involved people hang out with. i hope i didn't just confuse you. okay i'll put it this way, group A is the people involved in the fight you are planning on attending. so if police follow them around they will hopefully follow group B(group A's friends) to other circles and so on and so on. they will probably bust people on alot more than abuse charges if they do it that way.

I hope so! the more that go down for this the better! If it does get busted, I hope the fact that I've been animal control for years and am well known in the community for for what I do that it will keep me out of trouble.

Well, I hope this kid was just blowing smoke. And if he wasn't I hope you are able to get the law involved. It's sad that people have nothing else better to do than sit around a watch as 2 dogs try and kill each other.Good luck.PS-maybe you could contact law enforcement and they could send in someone undercover.

First call animal control or spca and give them a heads up, Then get a picture phone your or borow a friends. Get pics of ppl and dogs. I am attending a "Fight" Tommorow night and will have the phone with me that way its not obvious what I am doing and I can email the pics to SPCA or the police to get them there asap. Also I have told several ppl about the plans that way if anything happens I have witnesses. The big careful is the after effects from the ppl you piss off. So be a lil careful that way.

Good luck....

Benny just in case you were being rude This is under no circumstances fun for me. I mean these would be my lil Devos family that are being fought and hurt. I dont assume you were thinking I like this in any way shape form or fasion, that is by no means the case here,.

And the spca of Dallas Texas got involved by the way....

okay i wasn't being "smart" but i dont think you're being smart either. you're going to a dog fight, which is illegal to begin with. you dont know lots of the people that are going to be there. so immidiately poeple will watch you and what you're doing even if you think that they're not. and you are going to take pictures with your phone? good luck. i dont really think you know the type of people that go to these things. if you think that they're crazy for fighting dogs wait till they catch a snitch. wonder what a starved dog would do if you were handcuffed with a pork chop tied around your neck?

and yes the spca will come after it gets raided and take all the dogs off to be put to sleep. thats what happens in most cases. they will not break up the fights though, cops do that.

First off, Ill be going with my husband a 6'6 400lb mean looking guy, as well as his brother a dallas cop, offduty.

And I do know the people, Ive already met them once so they could see if I was "cool" There all between 18 and 24 there lil skinny red neck wanna be clan members. One of them trained there dog to attact black people.

Id rather take my chances as a human then let this happen to innocent dogs and do nothing.

Im sorry I dont mean to be rude but you are not making much sense you are totally contradicting yourself you acted as if you were surprised that a total stranger approached you about this "Dog Fight" but now you say you know this person?
Im a little confused? Why not contact the police and let them know what you know especially if you are animal control it seems to me they would be more apt to check this out with it coming from another person of authority.

Do the dogs a big favor. REPORT this to the local police and Animal Control Officer in the region where these fights are taking place.
Let them handle it.
Also, HSUS might be able to get a task force together.

well its cool then Unseen, i didn't mean to be rude i just didn't want you to rush into anything and get yourself into trouble. good luck with everything. if your brother in law's a cop then why do you need to take pictures and email them with your phone? just asking, i dont want to argue.

GinaH...to clear up the confusion it's two different posters the first post(AC from TO) is from a guy up in canada. the second one(unseen) is a girl in the dallas area. hope that helped you out if thats what was confusing.

Ok, I don't know where the fights happen yet and I don't want to send the cops if this guy is just blowing smoke, and the local animal control won't go in except to take the dogs when it's all said and done with. It's sad to say that the dogs will be put to sleep, but then it's better than the 'life'they've got. I just need to be involved long enough to find out if it really happens and where. The trick is to do this and not be tagged as the snitch. I don't want to be that un-lucky person!! To go in with a camera phone I think is a little dangerous, I think that even going in may be a little over my head, but if I just get the address and then the cops show up when I don't....I don't think there is really an easy way to do this but I can't know that this might be going on within kelometers of my house and not do anything about it

The reason I am taking the picture phone is because 1 theve already seen it and were just so "blown away by how cool it was" And second because my friend wont be in his cruser and wont have his walkie talkie. I can email his friend at the station and get them there without having to be seen on the phone.

With my phone you just point and click it dosent make noise and you dont have to lift the flippie part.

Also I have contacted EVERYONE I COULD. Noone can do anything on a "I think there fighting dogs at this place but I dont know the addy and Ive never seen it happen" Warning. They all said they'd look round but needed more legit info. So pictures whats more legit than a pic?

And a cops word

And several concerned citizens

And every animal place I could find already knows my situation.

Im going on the advice of a Police officer. I mean hell, Nevermind, ..................................................................................................................................................

He's shorter and solid like an Olde, and has the head shape of a presa but the extra skin of the Olde but he didn't wrinkle....it sags. Its hard to explain...you'll see in the pic

Unseen, be careful tonight. I mean I know you are going with your husband and stuff, but just be careful. Keep us posted on what happens and if you were able to "break it up" in the future. This is a very brave thing you are going to do.

Ac from TO,
Hop eyou get more info on the little bastards! What a dumb *** kid. If you end up going to a fight make sure you let some people know what your plans are. Hopefully the Police will help you out with this. This type of "investigation" if they decide to go through with it can take a while.
Keep us posted.

Thank You, I will be careful....to be honest, I'm pretty scared to go. Not only b/c of the kind of people that participate in this kind of thing, but also I'm worried about keeping my own emotions under control and not flipping out on one of these p#%cks! I used to be an investigator/agent for the spca in my area but have never had to deal with pit fighting before.
