again i do not intend to offend anyone who breed blue pitbulls but why so expensive. not that i can't afford it, but i'd rather pay that to a true game dog. colby,clemmons,crenshaw,etc... IP: Logged |

Once upon a time, blue pits where actually a rare color. And that had a lot to do with the price. Now it is almost like a fashion trend, thats why people want so much, simply because there are pople willing to pay that much. Now, I wouldnt be surprised if it is more blues then other colors. In my opinion, blue is one of the nicer looking colors, on a well bred pit, but unfortunately there are very few good blue breeders. Those that do have good blue dogs, dont usually breed "only" blues, but other colors as well. personally, I wouldnt pay those high prices for any dog. But dont get it misunderstood, they are some game blues out there. And no offense to you, but if you are thinking of getting a game dog, you should look into other lines, cause the one's you named are'nt to hot. Especially Colby's IP: Logged |

Really what is wrong with crenshaw's dogs? Or clemmons? Colby yeah those are show dogs, I agree with that. They are now anyway. IP: Logged |

I mean clemmons and crenshaw, well this is'nt really fact, but my opinion is that there are a few better choices for game lines. My personal favorites are Nigerino's and Chinaman IP: Logged |

Really because some of the Chinaman stuff is really started to suck and is way over rated. There are a lot of Frisco paper breeders though, so. Then it gets overated by those people. Similar to Crenshaw I admit as of late its not the same quality, or maybe just over hyped. Especially with the black jack dog. And Nigerino I disagree, not trying to argue here but that line is really going sour!! This is no joke, but a good number of curs is what this line is producing. There are really no winners from this line still being pushed forward, there is just a handfull. Sure the line is still here but how is it fairing? Where are all the winners and bulldogs? The Chinaman blood is still nice when bred right and from the right hands. It is still high quality IMO you just have to find a true breeder. Clemmons is still doing alright to, you just don't hear much about it though. Some of the best is Bolio or Tombstone/Bolio. Has anyone else noticed this? This this is throwing with consistency and showing well. Its lasted the test of time. Another great thing is you've got to love the looks and true conformation of these dogs. They are like the total package! IP: Logged |

well another thing i don't agree is that i've noticed that many breeders of rednose pits have completely clean their yards from red to blue pits.I guess it's okay if you like blue pits but don't be a follower be a leader. In my opinion a breeder is a person who will breed for temperament, gameness, bloodline and today many are just breeding blue pits to get rich with one litter. no offense but stay true IP: Logged |

do you guys think that the corvino, rufus, and red devil lines are producing pretty game dogs. i think it all depends on the breeder. but in general are these some pretty good lines as far as gameness. [This message has been edited by benny boy (edited 03-12-2004).] IP: Logged |

Which Rufus Hargrove's or Hammonds'? Red Devil you don't see to much anymore. Some of the Ironlines dogs come from the Red Devil dog. IP: Logged |

Hammonds Rufus ROM line is still going stong. You don't here a lot about it, buts its still out there in the hands of some good people. You can check out Gary's kennel site http://www.catchdogenterprises.com/ He also has a book out, but I haven't read it. There have been many winners and game dogs from this line. These dogs come just as they were before. I think they are doing a fine job in using the Rufus dogs and breeding them right. Alligator/Rufus dogs gamedogs. IP: Logged |
