I have a 5 month old pit and he is the most stubborn thing i've ever seen. Is this normal should a puppy try to "test" you, or try to push your buttons .I think it might be because his "ballz" or testicles are starting to drop I don't really know but if anyone has had the same experience let me know of the outcome.

You need to show dominance over him. It sounds like he's testing you, However you need to resume the alpha position. Simple and basic obediance will definately help. Hormones can be a cause, but not an excuse for poor behavior.

pits are extremely stubborn dogs. and yes he will test you to see what he can get away with. just like a 2 year old kid. you have to be very firm and assertive. you can't let him do something sometimes and then scold him for it sometimes. you gotta be constant. good luck.

My Pit Harley is 15 months and she is always testing, testing, testing, old mommy to see if I'm on my toes or not. It is part of their "charm". Puppy obedience classes are essential at this age. It will help socialize your pup with other dogs and teach it proper "manners" and dog body language which is really crucial. As well as show him that you are the dominant one. They are also a great bonding experience for you both!
Good luck!
