Is ketchup bad for dogs. My niece gave my pits some the other day. In packet form, they chewed it like crazy. My mom was the one who saw the dogs eat it, my mom claimed they loved it and went crazy wanting more, sniffing and jumping around. Just wondering since they loved it so much. Maybe it could be like an extra good treat. But im not giving them any until i find out if its good or not. No worries.
Also what is a good vitamin or supplement that can aid in gaining some wieght, my older pup 8 months has stopped gaining and lost like 5lbs . She seems active and fine also eats just is a little thin.
thanks in advance

I can't imagine ketchup would be harmful for your dogs the package maybe...especially when its "potty time"...lol
My dogs get Mcdonalds cheeseburgers with the works as special treats so if they can handle mystery meat Im sure a little ketchup wont hurt.

Most things in moderation are fine. I've never heard of ketchup being harmful...although the green parts of tomatoes can be I don't think those are used in ketchup.

A vitamin supplement won't contribute to weight gain but you can probably add a fat supplement to her food such as salmon oil or flaxseed oil to add more calories. Or you could just switch to a more calorie dense food.
