Hi, I totally agree with you, I had a male and female until recently (they died of natural causes, thank god) They were both the sweetest animals I have ever met. They slept with me every night, and were great protectors (but just barkers). I never bred them, I was absolutetly terrified of what those pups would turn out in the wrong hands.

There is alot of prejudice about pit bulls and it has gotten much worse. I was once walking my two pits and shih tzu (so much for saying they arent safe around small dogs) and this little girl comes running towards us. She totally ignores the tiny, cute shih tzu and goes straight for my male pit who at the time was only 1 and way too jumpy. But he stood there calmly while she petted and played with him, and my female actually licked her faced and nudged her, wanting some attention also.

I remember the little girls mother almost had a heart attack when she saw what her daughter was petting. It just goes to show that prejudice isn born its made. This little girl couldnt have cared less if this dog was a pit bull or an elephant, she just knew she liked him. If we could have adults like this pit bulls would be far better off.
