I have a 4 month old Puppy, We had her going outside pretty regularly up until about a month ago. Now she refuses to releive herself outside. Today I took her outside for an hour and a half, she never went to the bathroom, then I bring her in and she immediately pees and poops in the house.

I have been scolding her & taking her out to her potty spot in the yard but she just doesn't seem to want to go outside.

Any ideas or suggestions?

When she poops in the house, put her nose by it and tell her NO! loudly and then put her outside in her potty spot...also, throw the poop outside in her "potty spot" that way she can smell it there...They usually go in the same spot so if its there then she should go there.
If that doesnt work maybe you can try to train her on newspaper first... then once she gets used to going on the paper..each day move it closer and closer to the door until eventually she will go out
This is just MY OPINION. I am NOT an expert at this and I don't know if it will work. But my dog was trained way before 4 months old and never pooped in the house...only once when sick.
Goodluck!! I hope this works for you.

I would keep her restricted on a leash (if possible) so that you can keep your eyes on her at all times while she has free roam of the house. That way you can watch for signs that she might have to go and can hopefully get her outside before she has an accident inside. I would take her out frequently and give lots of praise (the second she is finished) when she does go outside.
Constantly scolding her or shoving her face in her mess when she has accidents will likely only confuse her and may cause her to fear releiving herself while you are present...maybe this is why she will not go to the bathroom outside anymore?

I never said to "shove her face" in it.

And I agree that giving her a treat right after and some praise will help.

Angie: Sorry, no offense was intended. I was'nt referring to what you posted but I probably should have worded that differently anyway. Many people potty train by sticking the dogs face near the mess and scolding...so I would have mentioned that regardless of your post.
