A neighbor of mine over bred his pit and abused one of his pits to death!. His female pit had 10 pups in one litter alone and she's had quite a bit of litters after that. He's the ghetto type and all he wants his pits for is to have pups so he can make a quick buck and to fight other dogs and make them become aggressive. I hate people like that i was so mad at him i cursed him out and threatened to take his pits from him. and WHAT KILLS ME IS THAT I FOUND OUT THAT HE HAS 10 PITS IN A 1 BEDROOM APARTMENT. And on top of that he has two favorite pits that fight other dogs and are very aggressive but he hardly takes out the other 8 dogs he has. I thought he only had two because the ones he takes out are the same color and size so i thought they were the same dogs but apparently not i found this out when he invited me to a party at his house and i opened the bedroom door because i though it was the bathroom and i saw a whole bunch of pits all over the room and i counted 10 but there could have been more under the bed and on the other side of the room. I'm wondering if i should call the aspca on him because someone called one time and the aspca came and took the dogs away but he could get another one real quick because i live in da projects and there's alot of byb's over here. so what should i do?. yeah, we can all see it on Animal Cops. Is it NY or Detroit who puts down all pit bulls when confiscated? (Or both?) IP: Logged |

Detroit, Michigan Humane Society. New York (Animal precinct? I think is what the show's called) evaluate them and adopt some out. IP: Logged |

It wil be hard to find where he fights at. Especially since its doubtful he does at all. Where do you come off saying he has 2 he likes to fight? It always seems to me anytime ANY form of animal abuse is involved with Pits people always start saying they are fighting dogs. And fankly I'm sick of it. All these lies cause innocent dogs to die everyday. In some places dogs used in fights are put down without a 2nd chance, the not so funny thing about it most of these dogs were never used in fights in the 1st place. They were just abused Pits in the wrong hands. Now they are doomed because someone wants to accuse the onwer of fighting them. Let me get this straight he has 2 that are his favorite and you THINK that he fights at least these two, BUT he keeps these 10 dogs including the 2 fighters locked in a bedroom almost all the time. Yeah that makes a whole lot of sense....wait no it doesn't. If these dogs were aggressive fighting dogs you could never do that. You couldn't have the two fighting dogs around one another. You could never keep all 10 of them locked in some place without trouble. Even though some fighting dogs are fine around other dogs keeping that many locked together would be chaos and a fight is bound to break out over time, aggrivation and stress. So no way, how could they be fighters? I'm just trying to put it all together, don't get these dogs killed because you want to say he is fighting them just because he is an idiot who doesn't even know basic common sense of dog training. I think you should call the SPCA ASAP!! What are you waiting for!! I mean, you have acknowledged there is a problem: over breeding of dogs! and abuse. I agree with True_Pits, and would not however tell the authorities these are fighting dogs, let them investigate and find out for themselves if its true or not. Right now the best thing you can do is try to get them confiscated. You should also get in touch with the local animal shelter and let them know, as well as contacting some of the Pit Rescues and seeing if maybe there is room for some of them. Chances are you won't be able to save them all, but at least some may get good homes and stop being abused. Also, this guy should not be allowed to own animals anymore. When you speak to the authorities, ask them what measures they are going to take to ensure this idiot can no longer have "pets". The longer you keep quiet, the more dogs are going to needlessly be born and killed. Leslie ------------------ IP: Logged |

I agree with what everyone is saying, definatetly call Animal Control and let them decide if its mistreatment keeping these dogs like that. But you shouldnt say these are fighting dogs. Unless you have actually seen these dogs being trained to fight, or have seen the two dogs he takes out with scars or wounds that indicate a fight. And I just dont mean some scratches, I mean hardcore scars and wounds that these dogs get when fought. After all, with 10 dogs (of any breed) there is bound to be a few fights. I highly doubt these dogs are fighters. There would be no way he could be fighting these dogs if they are all in the same room. Fighting pits will not tolerate another dog, let alone 9. And if these dogs you say he takes out were fighting dogs he would definatetly not take them out. Besides, in neighborhoods like that (trust me i grew up in some N.Y projects) pits are more or less signs of status, fighters or not. IP: Logged |
